Several weeks ago (or was it a few months ago) you were involved in a wreck. As I recall, your car was hit by someone who "came out of nowhere." Is it possible that you blacked out momentarily while driving and that caused the wreck?? I ask because that's what happened to my father several years ago. When the doctors got through checking him out and told us that he had suffered a "micro-stroke" and was likely to suffer more, we took the car keys away from him. Good thing we did because he would suffer short blackouts lasting only a few seconds -- not very often but it would have taken only one while he was driving.

Please let me agree that this could be a very real problem: Starlord, I'd urge you to get a medical assessment and opinion, as well as checking with the Department of Motor Vehicles, before you get too close to driving! > I ask because that's what happened to my father several years ago. > When the doctors got through checking him out and told us that he had > suffered a "micro-stroke" and was likely to suffer more, we took the > car keys away from him. Good thing we did because he would suffer > short blackouts lasting only a few seconds -- not very often but it > would have taken only one while he was driving. Sometime around 1988-1990 or so, I met some people with seizure disorders who under state law in California may be barred from driving because of the risks posed by an involuntary "lapse of consciousness." I'd guess that the law might be the same now, because it makes sense, given the obvious hazards. Here it might be important to have the best available medical diagnosis and prognosis regarding the continuing risk of this kind of event while driving. It's something that your doctors and the DMV need to decide based on the best information available. Best, Margo

From your posts here, it seems that at the present time you are in no condition to drive. If I were in your shoes, I hope that I would have the wisdom to take this advice seriously. Dennis

I eagerly look forward to your next post, maybe three words? New words? A real sentence? With a verb? I realise it is not easy typing all those letters with only your left hand, and only when mommy is away. Keep at it. ( I have tried to use short, easy-to understand words, just for you)
