It happened this year, I'm sure if you could check the archical messages it could be found, but the guy who started orion sold it to another company. -- The Lone Sidewalk Astronomer of Rosamond Telescope Buyers FAQ http://home.inreach.com/starlord Sidewalk Astronomy www.sidewalkastronomy.info The Church of Eternity http://home.inreach.com/starlord/church/Eternity.html "Scoop" <no-spam@sonic.net > wrote in message news:452656f3$0$34518$742ec2ed@news.sonic.net... > Quoth Starlord: > : Since they where sold to another company > > What? But I DO know, that about an hour ago or so, I sent them a third and final message asking about their telescope rings... The first two went unanswered... The last message I sent them said, in effect, if you don't respond to THIS one, don't expect to hear from me EVER in the future... This, from a long term good customer... Maybe this it the new, improved Orion... -- Jan Owen To reach me directly, remove the Z, if one appears in my e-mail address... Not the answer I had hoped for, but at least they DID finally get back with an answer. When I've ordered one in the past it usually arrives about 1 week later and I've ordered several times over the years. I'll wait another 2 weeks before trying again just in case the mail is slower for some reason or they are having some problems they are (hopefully) working thru. Randy

In the past, my experiences have all been extremely favorable. Can't speak to the current regime but hopefully that (great) aspect of their corporate culture hasn't gone by the wayside. Blues Live Free Or Die

My dealings with Orion have been very good. I highly recommend them. Now, that said, my dealings with them were previous to the buyout, and I havent bought anything from them since. From what I do know they have set the bar as far as CS goes. Im curious, what would your problem be, and why arent you pleased with the situation?
