I am in need of some kind of eyecap for our Celestron Ultima oculars, less as a shade for light, than a reference for keeping the right distance between eye and lens, when following objects in motion. The original eyecap won´t get me there. Sugg. for a DIY or adapted such ? Reg. Paul

I know of one astronomer that rolls his own out of neoprene. He just makes a cylinder out of it. It slips over the eypiece and it not only blocks the light but you can slip it back and forth to adjust it for your eye relief. He buys the neoprene and glue at a dive shop. It is used for repair of wetsuits.
