The principles for axial rotation at 1 degree for each 4 minutes of
clock time and terrestial longitude existed long before the Keplerian
refinements therefore no appeal to causes for the unequal length of the
day are required .Gemma Frisius appear to be among the first to
propose the principles which requires the Equation of Time to work.

Squeeling is not going to help you out of that silly attempt to
justify the return of a star to a meridian using the axial and orbital
motions of the Earth.I am now enjoying the collection of explanations
from those who can't be helped.This hilarious one is from the NMM no
less -

Similarly the Earth rotates 360=BA with respect to the background stars
in a sidereal day. During each solar day, the motion of the Earth
around the Sun means the Earth rotates 361=BA with respect to the

Other ones seen here are axial rotation is 15.041 degrees per hour or
the sidereal value 'wraps around' the Earth's geometry at 24
hours,ultimately it is junk by the same dynamicists who are busy
demoting planets and irritating the hell out of astrophotographers.How
did the dumbest people on Earth manage to hijack the exquisite
astronomical tradition,surely even the astrophotographers have had
enough.
