I enjoy seeing the astrophotographers trying to play with 8 planets and
supporting the theorists who put a stop to the pathetic attempt to
'define' a planet.The proper feeling should be irritation,even for
astrophotographers.

Celestial sphere geometers justify the return of a star to a meridian
in 23 hours 56 min 04 sec by using the axial and orbital motion of the
Earth making it a geometric exercise and this suits me fine -

Considering that a star's return to a meridian works in a system where
there are 3 years of 365 days and 1 year of 366 days should alert
intelligent people to the fact that it is a catastrophic way to justify
axial and orbital motion in the context of an annual cycle.
The casual pseudo-authority of 'definitional ' conventions are fine
however in matters of astronomical justications using geometry you get
to highlight yourself as a celestial sphere geometer -

The system behind the Earth rotation at 15 degrees per hour is a
exquisite two step process with the Equation of Time correction
straddling its pre-Copernican origins and its heliocentric adaption to
axial rotation as a principle.Technically and geometrically affirming
something is hardly superseded by worthless conventions and definitions
and I suggest you start recognising the astronomical heritage which
generated the 24 hour system first and then applied it to axial
rotation when that motion was infered by Copernicus.

The same thinking which suddenly appeared to demote the status of Pluto
as a planet is the same thinking which cannot even manage to give the
correct value for the rotation of the Earth on its axis,the most
fundamental correlation of all - 24 hours/360 degrees.
How many irritated astrophotographers out there trying to absorb an
uneccessary and meaningless 'definitional' episode in planetary
demotion.It just goes to show how physical objects mean nothing to the
theorists and no doubt,even astrophotographers here will squirm
uncomfortably with the forced absence of Pluto as a planet.
I only wish an abrupt change in direction was possible with the most
fundamental correlation of all through the easy to comprehend Equation
of Time correction,its pre-Copernican form in creating the 24 hour day
and its heliocentric adaption to axial rotation at 15 degrees per
hour.The two step process is one the greatest human achievements known
and none of you appreciate it.

for axial rotation at 15 degrees per hour,it will not get you invited
to any star parties by the celestial sphere astrologers but who needs
them.
