They are not much around in stores nowadays, those premium Celestron Ultimas
eyepieces....
And if, then they are not being shipped outside the US....
Do know you of a online store, having these in stock and shipping them over
the water ?
Regards
John

Hi Mike.
Woodland Hills do not sell the Ultimas.
I´m looking for the Ultima, not ultimate ;-)

Woodland Hills will sell you anything you want. They'll order it if they
don't have it in stock. But checking the Celestron site it appears the
Ultima is no longer a current item so you will only find them sitting on
shelves here and there. You can either buy them used or buy new ones from
one of the other companies that make essentially identical eyepieces:

Orion Ultrascopics:
http://www.telescope.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=242&itemType=PRODUCT

Parks Gold Series:
http://www.scopecity.com/brands.cfm?SearchBrandID=177
then choose Telescopes -- Eyepieces

If these companies don't ship to you then Woodland Hills can order from
Orion and send them to you. They may order from Scope City (Parks) as well
but I haven't done that but they did just order something for me from
Orion.

John, I think the Ultimas are 5 element oculars that are Masuyama clones.
They are made in Japan. The Ultimas have been discontinued (Japanese
eyepieces are expensive). I think the Takahashi LEs are the same (except
the ED and Hi LE models). Orion's Ultrascopics are the same, one of the
Baader lines, the Parks Gold series, etc.

Sounds reasonable, even though the Tak.LEs here and there are claimed
to be long-eye-reliefers even at the low end of the focal lengths.

Nagler.......... Good luck finding them.
