I don't think it's the old Revell kit. That was in 1/96 scale, so about
half the size of the advertised rocket. This seems to me to be a paper
model. The 1/96 paper Saturn V is available for a free download on this
site:
www.ninfinger.org/~sven/models/papermodels.html

Looks to me like the ebay advertiser took the 1/96 paper model and
printed it at 2x. Now if you're interested in a 1/48 Saturn V that
actually flies here's your web address:

http://www.cjsaviation.com

However, this model is not 45 dollars!

It's the reissure of the revel Saturn 5 kit, I used to sell them in the 70's
in Hawaii. Had one I was building until it got ripped off.

I was given that exact same model, sometime in 1972-73, when I was around 8,
by a friend of my dad's. I remember it because it was the saddest day of my
life when I found it was not assembled.

I waited until 12-13 when I got all the necessary Revel paints (I remember it
basically needed lots of black) and assembled it. I had it on my old house's
bedroom, until we moved.

Awesome model :-)

Neat! Too bad though, that the REAL moonships didn't wind up looking
like the Chesley Bonestell type things...

This model is a GOOD model of the Saturn 5, they put in a lot of man hours
to make the modes for the parts as good as they could. If it's built right
and the instuces are followed, the model when done is a wonder. I know I've
seen some built up ones. You can still find a few hobby shops that have them
from the reissure of 2 years ago and their prince went up from the less than
$20 I sold them for in the 70's to now over $100.00 for the model.
