Rosamond Report 11/06

At home friday night it was a bit windy, but
I still loaded the car and went up to the corner.
It would be a short night as the moon would be
setting by 7:30 so I was set up by 5pm.

First ones where two teen boys who had never
looked threw a scope and they where amazed by
the moon. Next was a suv with a guy and kid, it
was the people who have put a trailer into the
trailer park and are waiting until after new years
to get it hooked up and pay for the state cert.
before moving into it. He wants to have a night
for his boy with the scope, so that'll be done at
home.

The last two for that night was two race car
people, they one had at home a "Department Store"
telescope and couldn't get a view of anything
with it, so I gave him my card and some web sites
that might help him get it to working or at lest
to know what not to buy next time. Now it was eary
but the amount of cars was down, most where hitting
the freeway and with the moon down along with the
temp I packed up and headed home.

Saturday night looked to be better, with more of
the moon for a longer time and it seemed to be more
cars on the road. It was a bit of a sour time, as
I had to deal with some bible thumbers. All total
I had about 8 people that night with about 1/2 of
them enjoying the view of the moon. The other ones
I could have done without with the last one being
a total waste of time. But I made enough that night
to get some gas in the old car.

Sunday I was thinking of going, until I looked at my
Weather Plus and it told about high winds and clouds,
so I went outside and a wall of could was heading my
way and the winds where hitting 30mph at lest so I
put the scope under the tarp and covered it up and
stayed home.

There are those who believe that life here, began out there, far across the
universe, with tribes of humans, who may have been the forefathers of the
Egyptians, or the Toltechs, or the Mayans. Some believe that they may yet be
brothers of man, who even now fight to survive, somewhere beyond the
heavens.
