Friday night started out with me setting up the scope and as soon as the moon came up one guy in a small pickup pulling in where the pay phones "Used" to be and coming over to see what the moon was like with the scope. A bit later on a school teacher from down near L.A. spent some time at the scope looking at the moon. The last ones that night was a guy with his gal she was the only one to take a look at the full moon. By just after 9pm I packed up as almost no one was on the road and no one stopping to have a look. Saturday night started out with one guy and a gal coming over to look at the moon, they both had a good look see at the moon, this time I had my filters on and they enjoyed the view. I was sore as I had twisted my knee while unloading the scope and didn't have any asprin with me, so the cold temps where not doing me any good, but I was still setting up with the scope, but it was a bad night as no one was coming over for a look at the moon and by 9:30 I was hurting bad, so I packed up and came home. All total for this weekend I had 3 on friday night and 2 on saturday night, so it was a slow weekend. Plus I'm taking it easy because of the sore knee. -- The Lone Sidewalk Astronomer of Rosamond Telescope Buyers FAQ http://home.inreach.com/starlord Sidewalk Astronomy www.sidewalkastronomy.info The Church of Eternity http://home.inreach.com/starlord/church/Eternity.html
