Labor Day Weekend and it was not that busy. It started friday night at the supermarket parking lot, when I was going in to get my sandwitch to eat, a guy pulled up and asked what size my scope was. I told him and gave him one of my handouts I pass out. After eating I parked where I unload my gear and did just that. The moon was a hit and miss deal, as it played tag with the clouds that came from the storm John to the far south, but for most of the time Jupiter was in the clear and it was mostly out of towners that stopped to have a look, but not that many, by closing time I'd had maybe about 10 people stop by. Saturday night it was another night of touch and go for the moon and clouds, but not the taxman, got my tax bill in the mail, got to shell out $104.00 to the state for changing the trailer, a budget buster. Of the people who came over to look, they where local ones that see me sitting there. That night I had another 5 or 6 folks stop. Sunday night was a dead one, only 3 guys came over to look see and they where firemen between calls. I went home by 9:30. Monday night I had only one old couple stop by to have a look see and at 9pm the lights went out, old FF had switched back to their school time. I had been set up an hour there. -- The Lone Sidewalk Astronomer of Rosamond Telescope Buyers FAQ http://home.inreach.com/starlord Sidewalk Astronomy www.sidewalkastronomy.info Astronomy Net Online Gift Shop http://www.cafepress.com/astronomy_net In Garden Online Gift Shop http://www.cafepress.com/ingarden Blast Off Online Gift Shop http://www.cafepress.com/starlords Astro Blog http://starlord.bloggerteam.com/
