Subject: New DSS2 Site With Impressive Astro Images

Hello Everyone:
I wanted to mention that I have a new site comprised of images derived
from the Digitized Sky Survey (DSS2). I think these images are
impressive, but I'll let you be the judge. Any comments are welcome.

Indeed very nice images.
I don't think, though, that the claim that the images "rival many of
the Hubble images in sharpness and definition" can be supported.
Usually those terms refer to angular resolution, and the DSS is an
order of magnitude worse than HST in that respect. What you can
fairly claim is that the images have as many pixels as typical HST
images and therefore look as good when compared at the same _image_
size (as opposed to angular size as seen on the sky). That's
probably what you meant, but the words you chose don't exactly
express it.
