The indications were that stellar evolution may be a two stage process - supernova evolution first followed by the aftermath that gives rise to planetary systems with diverse and abundant elements. The rings represent natural effeciency in the release of energy just as natural forms on Earth tend towards the most effecient forms in gaining ,retaining and releasing energy. Now just a private work, the satisfaction of working on that now dormant project remains only now in terms of doing something in isolation before the rings were actually observed notwithstanding that I never thought that such things would emerge. Black holes are just a consequence of applying terrestial longitudes to space in an indisciplined and childish way - http://archive.ncsa.uiuc.edu/Cyberia/NumRel/BlackHoles.html The elements which make our existence possible may have a very local solution in terms of a two stage process for stellar evolution,at least the geometry of the supernova event indicates a more complex picture than may be had by a single stage process describing stellar evolution. The difference is that Supernova occurences lead to better working principles for the appearance of elements using a two stage process.Too little data and too complex to say presently.
