For months now, I have not been able to get through to their customer
support line. I just called awhile ago 5 minutes after their 12:30 lunch
break end and got a "Closed for the day". What's happening with them? Too
much business?

Meade is practically finished, and frankly so are most of the other
vendors in this hobby.

Mr. Musturd,

Why do you say that Meade is practically finished? Meade is producing some
excellent telescopes and has been doing so for many years.

He says it because it sounds good. More than that, he does not know!

Are you using the 800 number? Try their regular number. It's a long
distance call but I've always gotten through on the first ring.

I just tried (949), and "All support is busy ...". It's 1:30 pm in Calif. At
least, I didn't immediately get looped or disconnected. Well, later. Busy
time of the day for them.

In the past I have had better luck reaching them when they start their
day, at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time, right when they bring their morning
coffee into thier cubicles.
Good Luck
