>To minnie, the right wing religious asshole who everybody hates.

But of course "everybody" is the viciously Anti-Christian,
God-hating, Family-hating, Country-hating Liberal Atheist.

Of course "everybody" votes for the far left-wing Liberal
"democrats" in the major federal elections. You Liberals
imagine that you have no enemy--as if we, the God-fearing
Republicans, don't even exist. So please, keep on fooling
yourselves like that...it makes it so much easier to bury
you on election-day! Tuesday November 7, 2006 anno Domini
is just *55* days away & counting. Poor, hapless Liberals:
We ruling Republicans are so very *pleased* with you. :-D
^^^
> You do seem to know a lot about astronomy, I'll grant you that.

You don't "grant" me anything. God grants me *EVERYTHING*.

>So why spam your off-topic political, and religious bull shit?

You're hopelessly confused...but of course you are! What,
with you being a radical left-wing Liberal Atheist & all.

God *ALWAYS* belongs in *EVERY* conversation. That's why
our Republican-dominated United States Supreme Court will
soon overturn *EVERY* Anti-American Anti-Christian ruling
ever handed down from the formerly Liberal-dominated Court.

And our evermore popular theory of Intelligent Design will
soon be superimposed right over the top of ye ol' orthodox
theory of 'Evolution', in every public school in America!
I really look forward to watching you Liberal Atheists do
your unhinged *meltdown dance* for us ruling Republicans.
When that day comes, many of you cowardly Liberal Atheists
will probably off yourselves: once 'ID' is added to all of
our public schools' curriculum nationwide, and you Liberals
finally realize that you and your kind are doomed to global
extinction--that your abjectly *failed* attempt to kill God
has reduced your body to ashes, and sent your souls to HELL. :-D

Yup. I sure do! God Almighty is the infinite and eternal
Creator of His infinite and eternal Universe. Questions?

Yes. I sure do, albeit I've never written a book on the
subject. I've posted plenty of informative articles on
this, however. The Apollo "men-to-the-moon" fairy tale
is nothing more than that. Whatever missions *actually*
went all the way to the Moon (and possibly in some cases,
all the way back from the Moon, i.e. back to the Earth),
they were definitely unmanned missions at best. Google it. :-)

I've been suggesting precisely that in these and many other
popular unmoderated newsgroup forums for years. As for this
s.a.a. usenet forum, it is *unmoderated*. I would therefore
suggest starting a new strictly moderated SCI DOT hierarchy:

sci.religion.atheist.*

E.g.: sci.religion.atheist.astro.amateur

Your newsgroup charters should warn contributors that ONLY
the views of hard-line Liberal Atheists will be considered
or approved for posting to any of your moderated newsgroup(s).

>Religious fanatics are ^not^ welcome here.

Translation: "Only our faithful herds of Liberal Atheists are
welcome to participate in these *unmoderated* Liberal Atheist
newsgroups"..."and most especially, we do *NOT* tolerate the
views of loyal Christian Republicans posting to these groups!"
"We will NOT tolerate anyone who questions or challenges our
mundane Liberal Atheist authority!"..."Thus all non- or anti-
Liberal Atheists must be banished & excommunicated forthwith!"

>If
>that means making saa moderated for "atheists only," then so be it.

If you could have done it, you would have done it already.
But that's typical of you Liberal Atheists--all talk and
no action. You "talk" about winning back the US Government,
but you consistently *FAIL* to back up your bull5hit with
decisive results. You just can't get enough VOTES. Period. :-D

Question: why are you so afraid of God?

And why when espousing his God does he not obey that God's
commandments? Especially the bit about bearing false witness.

"Stretched" is the longest one-syllable word in English.

Hi:
I'd say many atheists, and even many free-thinkers and non-fundies, are
sometimes afraid of the mere mention of god(s) since this mention was
usually followed by killings, cruzades, inquistion, burning of witches,
etc. True, this was so in the past more than nowadays (not that it has
disappeared...not at all!), but some people seem to be rather longing
for that past to become a reality once again.
I'd say that's something we ALL should be afraid of.

Or as someone once paraphrased it:

"I don't fear God - it's all his little helpers that terrify me".

Better Question: "Why are so many self-proclaimed atheists afraid of
the mere *mention* of God?"

Please allow me to play the Devil's Advocate for a moment.

After all, to a *true* atheist, God is no more potent than the Easter
Bunny, Bacchus, or any other myth. It costs nothing to let the
'believers' have their little metaphors, as long as it satisfies them
and keeps them out or the atheist's hair.

As Marx said, "Religion is the opiate of the people." As such, it costs
little compared to real opiates, and it keeps the masses subdued and
tractable. Trying to take it from them is difficult, dangerous, likely
to provoke a strong counter-reaction, and non-productive.

There should be no fear of the mention of God, unless there is doubt of
His non-existence.

I do not think that is a better question. The poster described himself as
"God-fearing". I am never sure why those who are true believers are always
describing themselves as "God-fearing" as though they are afraid of Him.

> As Marx said, "Religion is the opiate of the people."

Opium users are a tranquil lot when they are stoned. But in withdrawal,
they are no fun to be around.

I don't worry about those who are actually helping Him; I worry about
those who, in the guise of helping Him, are actually helping His
debating partner and prosecutor. Unfortunately, religiosity seems to
be more common here than religion.
