Can anyone point me to an on-line photo of King 10, the open cluster in
Cephus that appears on the S.A.A. Non-Messier Top 100 viewing list? Or,
failing that,
to a drawing or star chart which I can use to positively ID the cluster. I
need to confirm what I
found the other night is the right cluster. Thanks.

-John

there's always DSS. plug in a name or coordinates for a picture.
http://archive.stsci.edu/cgi-bin/dss_form?target=einstein+cross&resolver=SIMBAD

and CDC for a free chart.
http://www.stargazing.net/astropc/index.html

King 10 appears to be the sword of a little 15' sized Orion like asterism -
a 3 star belt just north of the cluster.

hope that helps.

Thanks. I viewed it last night and it was small and dim. Admittedly the
moon was up, but I wonder why it was included in the S.A.A. Top 100
Non-Messiers. It seemed quite unimpressive.
