Hi All,
Well it has been almost one year since my previous employer's lawyers
harassed me about my optical design program KDP even though they let
me market it from 1995 to 2005 under full disclosure in 1995.
Three days before retirement in June 205 was a bad time for them to
decide that what I had been marketing for 10 years under full
disclosure was in fact something they suddenly though was their
property.
That was a stressfull encounter which I hope is never repeated but
since the new program (KDP-2) is all new source code, I'll just tell
them to go away if they ever call me again.
The program I left with them, I have on good authority, has not either
been used or maintained for over a year.
As you all know, KDP-2 is a re-write of KDP,ODP and Roadrunner. It is
alive and well. There is a free version and a "for sale" version.
I hope some of you folkes are using it, even the free version 2.0.
I get very little feedback and I would appreciate any and all comments
as to KDP's usefullness in the optics community.
