Subject: How to drive a Phillips Toucam Pro

Advise please-
Please suggest a piece of software to allow control of Phillips TouCam
webcam settings and collection of AVI files for subsequent processing in
Registax, etc.
Important that each run is given a unique filename or suffix as I am very
good at forgetting this. I tear my hair out! (Getting very thin.)
I am currently using K3CCDTools, V3 trial. It seems a case of 'sledhammer to
crack a nut'
as I am planning to use Registax for processing.

TIA

Pat

Hi:

I've tried quite a few alternatives over the three years I've been
webcamming...IMHO K3CCD is still the best. Even if you don't plan to
process with K3 or use it for guiding, its other features make it well
worth its modest price.

Hi Pat, I would use "Vega" (a good manual is available) and read up
the instructions for the Celestron "Nextstar".

I have tried to download Vega from www.planet.uk.com/qc/ but all links to
downloads are broken. Deliberately??

Does it work for you?

Any other source? I have bought K3CCD tools but would still like to try
Vega.
