Subject: Homemade solar filter for TV76

A few photos of the solar filter i made this morning for my Tele Vue 76 =
using Baader solar film...

The mounting ring is the lid from a jar of Gatorade powdered drink mix. =
It fit the TV76 very well. The Baader film is sandwiched between two =
rings of card stock held together with epoxy. I attached the filter with =
blue masking tape to the scope to make sure it won't come off =
accidentally. I might use electrical tape next time. I had made a =
similar filter for my 100mm Orion Astroview scope a few years ago but =
when i sold the scope i included the filter. I still had some Baader =
film left so made this filter today! I'm all set for the Mercury transit =
on Wednesday now!!
