First, for those not yet acquainted with the subject, see:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Potter

NOTE item "4.2 Religious opposition to witchcraft themes",

"Rowling has had to contend with considerable backlash,
particularly from fundamentalist Christian groups who
believe the series' supposed pagan imagery is dangerous
to their children. Since 1999, the Harry Potter books
have sat atop the American Library Association's list
of most protested books, with some American churches
banning the books altogether."

[end quote]

Cookie-cutter labels like "pagan" are frequently misused
or misapplied by uneducated and badly-educated audiences.
E.g., a pagan is anyone who disagrees with my particular
brand of Fundamentalist beliefs, opinions, religions etc.

To Fundamentalist Atheists, the supernatural is "nothing
but garbage for intellectually-inferior brain-dead morons"
ad nauseam. Similarly, to Fundamentalist Christians, Jews,
Muslims, etc., the supernatural is "Satan" and the "Devil"
ad nauseam. Different semantics, semiotics, etc., but the
same, vacuous knee-jerk reactionism to heavenly & hellish
things Light-years above their spiritual pay-grade, so to
speak. Such hopelessly-confused shirkers are to be pitied.

Contrarily, the term Fundamentalism has distinct meaning.
The 'Webster's New World Dictionary' defines it this way:

"fundamentalism
n.
[sometimes F-]

1 religious beliefs based on a literal interpretation
of the Bible, regarded as fundamental to Christian
faith and morals

2 the 20th-cent. movement among some American
Protestants, based on these beliefs

3 a strict adherence to or interpretation of a doctrine,
set of principles, etc., as of a social, legal,
political, or religious group or system

fundamentalist
n., adj."

[end quote]

The latter definition (3) fits the doctrine of hard-line
Atheism, Atheistic Science, etc., religiously! Religious
"Fundies" of all sects & schisms away from the righteous
Judeo-Xian doctrine that "all men are Created equal" are
inherently flawed. These are Anti-American and Anti-Xian!

Similarly, these Legions of inept Fundamentalist critics,
be they self-described Xians, Atheists, Jews, Muslims, or
whatever, instead of fearing God Almighty and keeping His
Ten Commandments & Two Golden Rules, they fear what they
don't understand; e.g. the Occult! They don't understand
what terms like "Occult" even mean, so they fear it, and
flee from it, and ineptly criticize it: all to their own
great detriment, both in this world and in the hereafter.

That said...

As an author, JK Rowling (see horoscope summary below) has
reached the topper-most of every best-seller's list, with
over one-third of a BILLION (350,000,000,000) books sold!
But of course, the previously unknown author Rowling must
have "made a pact with the Devil" etc., to have achieved
such tremendous worldly success (rather that's what many
of the fear-mongering Fundamentalists foolishly imagine).

But the world's number one most popular, most translated,
most copied, most printed, most read, most talked about,
largest selling collection of non-fiction books ever is
the codified canon of the Judeo-Christian scriptures: the
Holy Bible. (The Apocryphal books less so.) You knew that,
right? But what you may not realize, is that the history,
the stories, the teachings, the parables, the admonitions,
the mysteries, etc., of the Bible are fraught with occult
references. The term "occult" simply means things covered,
occulted, hidden, secret, not readily visible, or audible,
or sentient, or otherwise sensible to gentile (vulnerable,
worldly, sinful, mortal) human, self-dehumanizing, beings.

For example, the final book of the Bible, the Apocalypse,
Revelation, literally Reveals some of our ascended LORD &
Saviour Jesus Christ's own occult, hidden, covered, etc.,
profound knowledge and Dominion over the heavens & hells,
the earth, and beneath the earth. The Book of Revelation
is intensely spiritual--and forsooth, *astrological*--in
the entirety of its context: as they say Frae end-to-end!

Personally, I believe the corporeal publication known as
the Apocalypse, the Revelation of St. John the Divine, is
the single greatest book ever written in recorded history.

I also believe that the Latin Vulgate stands alone as the
most accurate and erudite translation of the S scriptures,
bar none, which is why I translated directly from it (and
in reference to the original koi-ne' Greek) for my modern
'Interlinear Translation of the Apocalypse', on-line here:

http://www.2hot2cool.com/11/danieljosephmin/Mins_Interlinear_Apocalypse.pdf
(and in hard-copy where available)

The point is, Fundamentalist fanatics ought to reevaluate
their priorities in life, while they still can. To ineptly
criticize and outrageously disrespect all realities verily
Occult: even its humble, lowly, God-fearing practitioners,
to criticize & mock things divine is to consign your soul
to Perdition's unquenchable flames. *Think* about it, bub.

Danny,

Can you explain why you classify the "bible" as non-fiction ?

For a better grade, please do so in less than 200 words.

Especially when it has endlessly provable falsehoods. But then Danny
has never been a man with even a passing acquaintance with truth.
Typical religious zealot - thinks sin is something that doesn't affect
him personally.
