I came across this fascinating videoclip "Giant Sun" (at
rent-a-cloud.com). It is a huge blood-red sun moving behind the
silhouette of trees. It must have been shot - I guess - with a 1000mm
lens. I would love to do something similar with the night sky by
attaching my 16mm Bolex to a telescope. Does anyone know if there is a
suitable type of film available, and what the approximate exposure time
would be?
Thanks for reply.

You film will work at night but it will take a bit of time to get a good
photo. All of the photos that you've seen of the stars have been done this
way until recently when the CCD revolution came about.
There are websites that deal with photography at night, go google them.
