Dear Friends and Relatives:

I have the distinguished honor of being on the committee to raise $5,000,000
for a monument to George W. Bush. We originally wanted to put him on Mt.
Rushmore until we discovered there was not enough room for two more faces.

We then decided to erect a statue of George in the Washington, DC Hall Of
Fame. But we were in a quandary as to where the statue should be placed.

It was not proper to place it beside the statue of George Washington, who
never told a lie, or beside Richard Nixon, who never told the truth, since

George could never tell the difference.

We finally decided to place it beside Christopher Columbus, the greatest
Republican of them all. He left not knowing where he was going, and when he
got there he did not know where he was. He returned not knowing where he
had been, destroyed the well-being of the majority of the population while
he was there, and did it all on someone else's money.

Thank you.
George W. Bush Monument Committee

P.S. We have raised $1.35 so far.

Why are you insulting one of the greatest presidents that ever lived?

Yes, but is he the greatest liar or the the greatest cheat?

Anyone can win, unless there happens to be a second entry.

Naw, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan are the only ones in the running
for those titles. LBJ cann't hold a candle to "tricky Dicky" Nixon and
Ronnie "Raygun"

Lyndon Johnson holds that title.

When LBJ was in the Whitehouse, he was a fairly well-off but not rich
man. When he left,
he was worth $14M. Where do you suppose he got it?

"Made" more? He worked something that got him $14M while IN the White
House.
Does this sound legitimate?

He used his contacts made when president to enhance his wealth of
course. YOU said he was a liar, I said he couldn't hold a candle to
Nixon Bush 1, Reagan and Bush 2. Recent conservative politicians have
been liars and cheats. LBJ took advantage of his position to make more
money. Nixon, Reagan and Bush have each screwed the country over for no
other reason other than vindictiveness

The same way the majority of millionaires got it - off the sweat of
other people's backs.
LBJ was a major war criminal, along with Nixon, Reagan, both Bushes and
several other american presidents.
Don't get me wrong - I'm no apologist for Stalin, Mao, et al, nor do
I favor communism as a system. But it would have been interesting to
see what would have developed had the soviet union not been covertly
and overtly attacked by the western powers from it's inception. Most of
my fellow citizens believe a fairy tale version of their own history.

That wasn't the problem with communism.

Make no mistake about it, the soviets have good reason
not to trust the west. Western european countries have invaded
them several times in history, WW II was the last straw
for the soviets. Cant blame them. I don't trust european
govt's either. Their past is full of pillaging resources
all over the world. They are out only for themselves...

But.....

What does happen with communism, socialism, and other govt's
of that type of model is that the intellectuals that
come up with these ideas, have to use "*thugs*
(for lack of better word) to keep the average citizens in
place, and collect the revenue. Eventually these people
look upon the creators of their revolution as being in the way,
and just get rid of them.

Neither communism, or socialism allow, and or reward an
individual for new ideas, or independent thought. Individual
progress gets stifled, and creativity takes a backseat
to collectivism......

I goes against the grain of human expression, creativity, and
free will. The only way communism works is by force....

Yes! Especially since Nixon, Reagan and the Schrub made more than $14m
profit in one term in office compared to LBJ's $14m in two terms

Inflation - you gotta keep stealing more just to stay abreast of your
predecessors.
