I've posted a Moon Phase Calendar for 2007 that can be printed on 8.5" X11"
paper stock here:

http://ghonis2.ho8.com/2007MoonPhaseCalendar.html

There is also a version there for printing on business cards for keeping in
your wallet.

Merry Christmas,

I've frequently referenced your on-line synodic lunar phase
calendar in my own articles, since a picture is often worth
"a thousand words" for instructional purposes, particularly
for those who are perhaps deficient in visualization skills.

I've referenced this in past articles describing to students
how the tropical (Gregorian-revised) Roman calendar doesn't
completely ignore the synodic phases of the Moon altogether.
Because apart from February (month of the "infernal gods"),
the Roman calendar months are slightly longer than the ~29.53
solar days per lunation, thereby encompassing one complete
synodic lunar cycle eleven months out of every single year.

The Roman calendar is merely not dependent on the specific
lunar phases (new moon, molad, etc.) for its tropical-year
dependent calculation. IOW, the Roman calendar was designed
to accommodate the synodic phases of the Moon, because her
phases have _always_ been carefully observed and predicted
since time immemorial, a fact which holds true to this day.

I want to thank you for having posted this on-line, and for
posting the new 2007 version.

Having said that, in case you didn't know, for some reason
which doesn't appear obvious to me, based on what I've seen
on your site, the McAfee "Site Advisor" red flags your site
with this: "Our analysis indicates that this site may be
designed to trick you into submitting your personal or
financial information to online scammers:

http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/ho8.com

I don't see anything like that on your site, so this may be
a false positive, or a mis-reported problem on McAfee's end.

Just thought you'd like to know. I'm guessing it's probably
in reference to the server company that's hosting your site.

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas & Io Saturnalia!

Daniel,

Great to hear you have an educational use for the calendar. Interesting web
site and information about calendars......you surely are an accomplished
calendar historian.

Yes, I am aware of the McAfee "Site Advisor" red flags. The problem is with
the free web pages provided by the host service "HostUltra". Years ago I
had web pages on that free host site and had problems with pop up ads and
malware placed there by the free web hosting service. I then switched to a
paid service from the same hosting service with no ads and the problem was
resolved. No "personal or financial information" is requested on any of my
web pages there.

Thank you for your kind reply. It's my humble labor of love.

Last year, I printed out your 2006 version on the flip side
of my business cards, although it took me several page setup
adjustments to get my letter-sized card template to print the
front side, then print the back side, and get them to line up,
or as they say in the printing business "to register", on the
cross-hairs. They make for nice cards, especially on the film
cardstock, although I'm just using a little Canon MP150. Last
year's cards came off my older Canon i550. I've lost track,
but I must've printed out 20,000 pages on that old workhorse,
and it still works fine. If only every machine lasted so long...

Which reminds me, I need to print out a new batch with your
2007 version (2007moonphasebusinesscard.jpg) on the back.
Thanks again for that, too. It makes a cool looking card.

Yes, I didn't see anything like what McAfee reported to be on
your own site, nothing like that at all. I just wasn't sure if
you knew that your hosting server had been "red ballooned" by
McAfee in such a way. I suppose that most average net surfers
aren't using McAfee's SA program, so they wouldn't see their
little "red baloons" regardless.

Enjoy!
Daniel
