Subject: Earthlink Newsgroup Difficulty and My Recent Post on "Mask Software"

Well, this has been fun. Many if not all of the EL newsgroups have not shown
a post since 12/8. I called them about it and they said they knew about the
problem, but had no date by which the problem could be fixed.

As far as I can tell, the NGs have become a oneway street. Post to a NG, but
not recieve. If anyone has seen my recent post on my Masking question or is
an earthlink NG user, could you contact me at sierra_mtnview -AT- earthlink
dot net. For the post, I'd just like to know it's there. If you use NG
newgroups, I'd like to know if you've had the same experience with NGs. The
latter, of course, assumes some EL user has gotten around their recent
difficulty.

Hi:

s=2Ea.a. has nothing to do with Earthlink. It ain't an Earthlink group;
it's part of Usenet. Your provider may have problems with its Usenet
feed, however. You can always access this group (or any other Usenet
group) through Googlegroups, you know.

I've had the same problem with Earthlink since sunday. Don't know
what's taking them so long. Try http://www.teranews.com/ free 50MB per
day after a one time $4 signup fee. Just (so far) a happy customer.
