A couple of our eyepieces with long eye relief are w/o eyecaps, which makes it a little hard to position your eye correctly and avoid "black out". Any suggestions for comfortable & durable eyecaps of "everyday" stuff ? C.S. Carl

Bicycle inner tubes - clip to length. Might want to double one and glue inner to outer for proper stiffness. Specifically designed eyecaps are available very inexpensively - I doubt that making your own is cheaper than buying if you value your time at minimum wage, except for satisfaction and custom fit.
