"Moe M. Down" stopped pushing her muscle-powered lawn mower long enough to ask: >What is the current magnitude of comet Swanski? About 0.017 Amperes :-) For those looking for a different answer: Comet C/2006 M4 (SWAN) remains brighter than M13 as of 1:50 U.T. on the 2nd day of November. I just looked with 7x50 and 20x80 binoculars. No tail was visible. The Moon is having a heavy impact on sky darkness. Willie R. Meghar Observational Notes at: http://meghar.blogspot.com/

Hi: It's still pretty bright, but much reduced from what it was about a week ago. Most estimates I've seen put it at about magnitude 5.4, down about 1 magnitude from what it was. I took a look at it last night, and even taking the Moon into account, it's obviously waned, with it being difficult to locate in 15x70 binoculars (in my very compromised skies). Willie R.
