I will give it a try from neighboring Gardena tonight and tomorrow night. I did see it last week, but just barely. I am using a 10 inch SCT... Matthew Ota Mark F. wrote: > I looked and I looked but alas from Long Beach Ca. was city lights. > > -- > Hike High Mountains > Fish for Wild Trout

I saw it again tonight, but again it was just barely visible to me with my telescope. With averted vision I saw a fuzzball....but just barely. I am scheduled to work at Mt. Wilson Observatory on Saturday night at the 16inch. I will try to grab a photo of it from there, if I have the time. From Antioch, IL (North of Chicago) I looked tonight with 10x70 Binocs and could see it pretty clearly. A fuzzy little ball. It has been quite a while since I've done much observing and at first I thought it was M13. A little more searching and I could see both the comet and M13 in the same field of view. The comet looked brighter, but M13 looked better defined. I don't have very good skys tonight with the moon, city lights and hazy cloudcover to compete with.
