Where does one order a small sheet of Baader solar filter material? I have a broken Type 2 or 3 1000 oaks 90mm that I can salvage by placing Baader in it rather than glass. I removed the broken glass and have the O-ring too.

I used rubber bands to attach the mylar material around my lens and made sure that the portion of the mylar over the lens' field of view was smooth. Anthony.

It certainly shouldn't be anything like drum-taut. This is how I made my filter http://www.gwynnefamily.org.uk/astro/Baader/index.htm Not relevant to you since you have the remnants of the 1000Oaks to work with, but the principles are similar. I bought mine in UK from David Hinds .
