Subject: Autostar Suite Astronomer Edition software AZ/EQ series


I bought an inexpensive Meade 60AZ-AD refracting telescope to see if I will
develop an interest in astronomy. When I attempt to install the Autostar
Suite Astronomer Edition software AZ/EQ series that came with the telescope,
I get this error message: d:\GSC\N0000\001.GSC Cannot open file. (D is the
source drive for the software disk.)

I created a Meade "ticket" and submitted it properly (August 23), but Meade
hasn't answered.

Can anyone offer me any help? Is Meade always this bad regarding customer
service?

One of the best sources of support for ETX and
related scopes is Mike Weasner's web site:

http://www.weasner.com/etx/menu.html

If you scroll toward the bottom of the page you
will find a variety of links for various topics.

Among them are likely links to Meade support
where you can download software. And it could be
you have a faulty disk and can replace the
software by a download from Meade.
