Is'nt modern imaging great -

http://www.vt-2004.org/mt-2003/mt-2003-soho1999-normal.jpg

Looking at that SOHO image of Mercury approaching the overtaking point
of a slower moving Earth as an incredibly easy and enjoyable way to
affirm how we see planetary motions from the Earth.

The celestial sphere geometers had their day as they watched 'Mercury
cross the face of the Sun',now it is the heliocentric astronomer's turn
by presenting that no such face exists. What an incredible image above
which shows the contours of our parent star as a magnificent
powerhouse and that our motion around that star can be seen directly.

Do you think anyone who truly appreciates the event on Wednesday for
what is truly is astronomically will care for your pathetic warnings.
