With all the attention here in So. Cal being given to the South Lake
Tahoe fire, there was a little blurb about 30 people being evacuated
from homes in the Rosamond area where there is 6000 acre blaze burning.

Dennis, is there any info you can give? Are you affected by this? I
imagine that it is going to interfere with your sidewalk astronomy
(smoke, wind etc...)

Let us know.

Dennis mentions that the local cops stop by for a look. Would it be
worth a call to the Rosamond PD to see if they could check on his
welfare?

Maybe someone who lives in the area and who knows Dennis' address
could make the call and let us know what happens.

It's worth noting that in two days Dennis hasn't answered this thread.
While he is probably out of harm's way, I do hope that he also hasn't
suffered some sort of diabetic episode, as he is wont to experiencing
dangerously low blood sugars

I have a friend living in that area. Anyone has news about John Lightholder,
Meyers, mirrors and dobs maker?
I'm a little worried since my e-mails bounce back...

The fire is in the mountains. THe city of Rosamond proper is in the
valley, as the city
straddles the freeway
