Cathy, those are very neat webcams! But i still want to see the view =
from your kitchen window. I remember you've posted pics in the past =
from your house looking toward Kitt Peak.

They are quite nice. I view the webcams to see what the weather is like
up there.

parm. (For those of you that may be interested, I do not use bread
crumbs and have substituted thinly slice tomato instead of using sauce. :)

Kitt Peak is in my backyard. 13 miles as the crow flies. Right now I can
see the flames. I'll try to get some still shots to post. I havent
figured out how to upload video yet.

Well, the job might seem glamorous, but it's all just tinsel.
BTW, I DO have swell memories of driving around delivering pizzas the
night of the total lunar eclipse of May 1975.

Hey, in what other job can you get kidnapped by two women in an elevator,
get flashed by women from the moon roof of their limo, or meet hungry
professional athletes who are hungry and don't feel like going out?

(All true experiences, btw. Email me if you want details.)

Oh, I did the job for a couple of years while I was in college. I have
my stories! Probably best not to get me started... :)

That was a memorable lunar eclipse for me too... I shared it Doug Hertz,
a friend from our college days at Iowa State. Doug was killed about ten
years ago in an auto crash caused by another driver who tried to commit
suicide by vehicular crash.

To get a good view, the two of us bicycled to south of Ames (arboretum).

My God, put it out! Fire is bad. Scary.
A nightmare for observatories. We have dry conditions in SoCal
We worry and fret over the fire danger, not only at Mt. Wilson
Observatory but everywhere else.
