Subject: Starlord report -- not good
Last night I sent an e-mail to the Kern County Sheriff's Dept asking that
they check on Dennis's welfare.

I just received a call from the Chief Deputy. They dispatched a deputy to
check on Dennis -- his trailer is empty and, according to the park owner,
Dennis has been moved into a "home . . . somewhere in Southern California."
The deputy explained to me that that's really all they could ask.

I don't know what to do from here (I'm in East Tennessee) -- suggestions
anyone?

How about a wireless laptop, or a DOB on wheels. Dennis could keep
the residents entertained.

Thank you for finding out about Dennis. Please let us know any more details
that you can find. I am on the other side of the world, so can do little.
But if Dennis could make use of a laptop, and needs one, I would be happy
to contribute to any SAA initiative to get one for him.

Likewise I would be happy to help but from Oz it is a bit hard to organise.
Money towards a notebook would be OK. Could be sent via paypal.

I live in L.A.
If we can find the trailer park owner I can call and maybe find out where he
is and go see him.
An address of the trailer park might be the place to start.

Florian:

For some reason, my news reader is not showing me the message to which you
replied -- the message from the individual who lives in LA -- but -- here's
my 2 cents worth -- Dennis is a good guy -- AFAIK he's by himself -- if
there is someone who could track him down and visit him, I can contribute a
few $$$ to the cause via Paypal. If the gentleman in LA can find Dennis, I
know there are lots of folks here who would help anyway they can -- if we
can get Dennis back on the 'net at least he'll have something to keep busy.

I like Dan's idea of a a wireless laptop, *and* a DOB on wheels.

I can't coordinate or be in the area... but I can contribute financially.

If it makes sense in his situation... and it would enhance his life...
If someone close to Dennis who could coordinate and make things happen,
let me know.

Arghhh!!!

Well, not far from what I've been expecting...

Like you, I'm pretty far removed from all this to be of much help (though
not as far as you - thanks!).

I suppose THIS time, they've also murdered the REST of his cats, like they
set out to do the last time, but missed a couple...

I hope SOMEONE can help track him down and let us know what his status is,
before some mindless bureaucrat in the great state of Kalifornia euthanizes
him, too...
