Subject: Mac drivers for DSI Pro?

I recently purchased a DSI Pro. Although I can use a PC if necessary, I
also use a Mac and would prefer using the latter if Mac drivers are
available for this camera. Are Mac drivers available for the DSI Pro?

Perhaps not, but a good place to try is to go to the IOXperts page at
<http://www.ioexperts.com/products/webcamx.html >
Their driver works for the Celestron NexImage camera, but that is
becauseit is essentially a ToUcam. If their driver does not work
with the DSI Pro, then there is a page you can use to submit info
in order to help them support your camera:

Their list of unsupported cameras includes the Meade Captureview
(binoculars with a built-in video camera), but I don't know if that
has the same chipset as the DSI Pro.

No. A bit surprising. There are Mac drivers for the LPI and a zillion
other astro cameras, but not the DSI. Time to bite the bullet and boot
ol' Typhoid Mary!

Hi:
Unless you can get the Meade Autostar Suite/Envisage program to work
on Windows running either via an emulator or on an Intel MAC with
Windows onboard, I'm afraid you'll just have to use that NASTY OL'
PC. :-)
