Of the astronomy things I got last weekend, ont is one of those telescopes
that I think is supost to have no barriers in it's path, it has a main
mirror, looks to be about either 4 or 6inch and it's below the normal path,
the mirror is aimed towards the front of the main area and in there is a
3inch mirror (maybe 4inch) that sends the light back to the user end, only
my user end has no ep there, from the way it looks, there was someone put
there at one time to hold an ep, it's a bit old, and I'm thinking of trying
to restore it to use. anyone know of any plands or drowings of such scops?

I'm just guessing from your description. Is the second, smaller mirror
convex? (It would only be weakly curved, so it could be a little hard to
tell.)

If so, it may be one of these:

http://telescopemaking.org/schief.html

and here:

http://www.atmsite.org/contrib/Holm/bulletina/index.html

(a schiefspiegler). It looks like the design uses a focuser of the same sort
used in refractor telescopes.

When I Googled the Schiefspiegler, I got over 14,000 hits.

Good luck with it. I had the pleasure, more than 25 years ago, of getting a
look through a prototype 3" schiefspiegler from the original Coulter
company. It gave the highest contrast image of Saturn of any 3" telescope
I've ever used. (It may also have been the bulkiest and heaviest 3"
telescope I ever used, which may be why it never went into production. It
was mostly made of particle board.)

HTH.

That's the kind it is, I've not checked the mirriors just yet, but they both
look like their the good kind of mirror, I'll chck them out thursday
afternoon but those plans sure looked like the same kind of scope. I do know
that the smaller mirror up in the long body has adjustment bolts on it's
back side, so that's who to do any alinement. I'll need to build a mound and
put an EP into it.
