Subject: Checking out a 'new" 24 Inch Scope

I was luck enough to get a 24" telescope with an az / el mount. It was
given 'as is' hence no secondary or diagonal but a good robust spider.
The primary is extremely fast, like F/1. yup F/1. The mount is built
like a tank.
It turns out it may be easier to put a camera at the PM prime focus
rather than relay it out of the tube.
So my thought is to adapt a good high NA microscope objective with a
CCD camera and mount them to the spider. I think I can get it all
inside the obscuration so as to not add any more vignetting.
So my question is: Does anyone have experiece using a microscope
objective to relay a telescope image to a camera?

No but they make great optics in testers!

My thoughts are that it was never meant to have a secondary. I would
like to see a picture of it as I am sure others would. If you don't
have your own website to post that image to then feel free to post one
at www.moderatedsciastroamateur.org
My mind just can't fill in the blanks about how this rascal looks.
