The last usenet transmission from him that I see was dated 6/20/2007.
Considering that that's less than two weeks ago, and folks often take
vacations in the summer...

I don't think Starlord is taking vacation...
I'd say you responded to a thread, the subject of which, you know NOTHING
about...
That's OK, BECAUSE you probably don't understand.
But DO understand that most of the rest of us know that Starlord isn't on
vacation, and some of us are also concerned because he has a history (as do
I) of low blood sugar (otherwise known as hypoglycemia).
He's a diabetic, as am I, and folks with this problem understand that, if
you take your medication, but don't eat enough, or enough of the right
THINGS, you can EASILY go into low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), then into a
coma, and then into death, with very little cushion in between...
And worse, for folks who don't understand what this is all about, or how it
works, one of the significant symptoms is that the person behaves
essentially EXACTLY like they are VERY drunk, from onset, until they drop
off into a coma... So those who haven't a clue tend to think the person is
drunk, and doesn't deserve concern... Like one or two of the most scumbag
trolls (that EVERYONE here should ignore) we are blessed with here, who
regularly mess with him...
But, those who DO understand hypoglycemia get worried when they don't hear
from someone who HAS had this problem for some period of time. And, is the
case here, when they live alone, it can be MUCH more serious, because there
isn't anyone to SEE when the individual has gone into a diabetic coma and is
near death (my wife has made the difference several times)... And beyond
THAT, not only might THEY need help desperately, but so might his PETS, of
which he has several...
And this is why some of us DO worry...

Maybe his computer is down.
Maybe he lost his internet access.
More than kikely he is OK.
Perhaps somebody here from Edwards AFB can check in on him, as his
trailer park is on the way from Edwards to LA
