Dear group, In a mad rush to beat the arrival of the full moon shortly, I sat down last night to pursue the PacMan Nebula in Cassiopeia. For the result based on over 5 hrs total exposure (RRGB @ 200:60:60:60), I kindly direct you to http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-0281.htm . I am having problems with my submissions the past three weeks and hopefully this message will make it through. Anthony.

I have looked and compared your fine work with various astro photo datasets. Some of your pictures are much clearer. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jerry, I am delighted to learn of the interest and effort my other photo produced. It is one very rich sky we have overhead with so much to explore and it is always a treat to learn that a photo was inspirational for follow-up work by someone else. Anthony. stunning as usual ........... Im still haunted and viewing your 0951+ photo. Because of it I challenged five good photographers to duplicate yours (and grab a spectrum!). Only one did. We sent the results to the HST team who were delighted at our modest try. All because of your original photo ....... father to the thought you are by your fantastic work. Thanks again. Your images are ALWAYS > welcome, but we've been worried about you and the fires... Thank you for your concern! I live at the northeastern outskirts of Athens and I have a clear view of the very damaging fires on the isle of Euvoia (second largest Greek island) which is being devastated by the fires ... my immediate sky is very dirty and polluted with ash and my equipment is packed away very carefully. I suspect I will be out of action for at least a week due to the very dirty skies and I do not want to risk my cherished AP refractor. In fact, I am not sure I would be able to do any quality work anyway due to the dirty sky and very questionable transparency. Greece is really going through a national disaster right now with hundreds of thousands of acres burnt into ash and many tens of fires out of control. Countless countries within the EU have sent many planes and equipment in an attempt to help combat these fires. Just to give you an idea, the sacred grounds of Ancient Olympia were not even spared and there is significant damage to the area. The museum with priceless artefacts was saved literally the last minute late this afternoon. Anyway, thanks again for your concern!
